Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid (shoulder) will not return to Wednesday's game against the Cavaliers after sustaining a shoulder sprain. The 25-year-old went to the locker room initially, only to return to the bench and then exit the contest once again. Embiid posted three points and one turnover in seven minutes of action prior to sustaining the injury. The news is a tough blow to the 76ers, who also lost guard Ben Simmons for a minimum of two weeks due to a back injury. A further update on Embiid's status will be known after the game.
